We ran our first Emergency Canine first aid course on Sunday 19th May at Northallerton town hall and were blown away by the event. Attendees were primarily pet owners wanting to ensure they knew how to handle emergency situations that may arise with their dogs during normal day to day life.
Jane, the course trainer, was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to share her passion and course content superbly, in a way that was easy to understand. There was so much information that she provided us with a handbook and links to sites for future
Jane taught us practical elements as well as theory, including how to perform CPR on dogs and how to bandage them up until you can get help.
Jane also had lots of items for sale including first aid kits, tick removers, antiseptic sprays and treats.
All of our attendees said they learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the course, all feeling more confident about how they would cope with an emergency situation, should it arise with their own dogs, or come across a dog in trouble.
A massive thank you for everyone who came along and we cant wait to see you again!
